We sat inside the photo booth.
Crammed side by side on the bench.
Outside, we could hear people
Talking and laughing as they
Walked past us in this busy mall.
The booth gave us the option of
One photo for one quarter.
So we slid in a quarter and waited...
And waited...
And waited...
Our mouths grew tired from smiling,
Before I broke the silence by saying
"Is it working?"
She shrugged her delicate shoulders
And pushed her brown waves
Behind her ears.
"Maybe your too beautiful for it."
I blurted out, my face red.
She giggled and leaned in,
Kissing me on the lips.
Click!
Flash!
The photo was finally taken.
Outside we heard someone whistle,
"Blackmail!"
"Sokka!"
